About Me

During my primary years I was a swimmer and runner, but only started getting involved competitively during my early secondary years.
It was only through my 3rd year into secondary when a good friend introduced me to triathlon from my swimming club. It was a whole new sport to me and I enjoyed every bit of it. I never doubted the decision I made that day.

I was introduced to Peter Lau, vice president of TRIAM (Triathlon Association Of Malaysia), who accepted me into his junior squad.

Soon I was winning many prizes at local event and even a few at international events.
Peter Lau coached me personally through the years, together with the help of other whom he introduced me to.
Gary Choong took care of me during the cycling areas of training one to one, being fortunate enough to be brought up with proper techniques and methods of training from the start. Meanwhile, I continued to attend my swim squad at Advanced Aquatics.
I've also trained under seasoned veteran runner Mark Williams, who was a Geography teacher at Alice Smith Secondary School.
My training progression was smooth and there were noticeable improvements through out the years. I had multiple podium finishes in the category (13-15). My results include a 2nd place finish in Subic Bay Triathlon Asian Cup 2009, 2nd in OSIM International Triathlon Singapore 2009, 3rd in OSIM Triathlon Singapore 2010, and 4th in Port Dickson International Triathlon 2010, before moving up to the far more competitive Junior Elites category.

Recently I have been working together with Steve Lumley, coaching me through all three disciplines in the sport and working on developing me as an athlete into the world ranked level, as well as the development of triathlon in Malaysia. -(More info on Steve Lumley @ http://www.steve-lumley.com/)
